UK and Ireland Roadshow - Feb 25 - March 5, 2023

​British Columbia needs nurses. Health Match BC is taking to the road for our first-ever UK and Ireland Roadshow.  We will be hosting information sessions in London, Dublin, Manchester, and Birmingham, in February and March 2023.

Nurses receive support to join B.C.’s health system more quickly

The Province is making it easier for internationally educated nurses to work in British Columbia's health-care system with new financial supports and a faster, more efficient assessment pathway.

Internationally educated nurses (IENs) will no longer be required to pay application and assessment fees upfront, which cost more than $3,700. These fees will be covered directly by the Province in order to remove financial barriers for internationally educated workers who want to work in B.C.

Health Match BC attended the 2022 Filipino NurseCon hosted by the Philippine Consulate General on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Taking on The West Coast Trail

Audra Fediurek found herself in the middle of the summer's record-setting heat wave last July. She was hiking alongside the seashore with her husband, with no shade in sight and no nearby exits. Audra is HEABC's Vice-President, Human Resource Strategies and Services; her portfolio includes Health Match BC. She is also a weekend adventurer. Audra and her husband had decided to take on the West Coast Trail, a multi-day trip, as part of their summer vacation.
