Enjoy the serenity of the hot springs of the eastern Fraser Valley, a place of fertile farmland and accessible wilderness. Occupying the southwest corner of BC, and blessed with a diverse climate and terrain, this region is home to lush coastal rainforest, semi-arid ranch lands and glacial peaks, as well as ocean waters, roaring rivers and placid mountain lakes.

The economic heart of the province, this region features a broad manufacturing, trade and service base, and is also active in agriculture, tourism and forestry. It is well served by all major modes of transportation. Vancouver, BC's largest city, is located in this region and is home to the provinces major medical and research centres as well as the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. The towns of the Fraser Valley include Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission.

The Vancouver Coast and Fraser Valley geographic region is made up of three health authorities, Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal, and Provincial Health Services as well as the Providence Health Care organization.
