Collective commitment to action

More than 80 people, including many rural physicians from across the province, gathered in Prince George from May 30th to June 2nd for the Collective Commitment to Action: Rural Health Workforce Symposium.

“The focus of the symposium was on collective action and commitment,” says John Mabbott, Executive Director of Health Match BC, a sponsor of the symposium. “The ultimate goal was to improve the health of everyone in rural communities by recognizing that having health care workers and physicians with appropriate skills and competencies – and facilitating the education to get and keep them there – is a top priority.”  More on the symposium...
