Medical Students and Residents

How we can help

Health Match BC supports Canadian and international medical students and residents in preparing for their eventual practice as a physician in British Columbia.

The Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) is a non-profit organization that provides an electronic application service and a computer match for entry into postgraduate medical training throughout Canada. We frequently join them in presenting to medical students and residents in Australia, Ireland, and the UK.

If you are a medical resident in your final year, we encourage you to register with us so that we can start assisting you in selecting an ideal locum or permanent position as a physician in BC.

Once you have registered with us and are ready to work as a physician in the province, then our physician services team can support you in making a seamless transition to your new job.
